Who We Are
You cannot identify anyone who is in need of assistance based on appearance.
Â
Jennie Graves learned this firsthand. As a hairstylist, she noticed that some of her salon clients were quietly struggling to put meals on the table for themselves and their families. There was a simple solution: feed them.
Â
So she did. Jennie began cooking full meals at home and bringing them into the salon. Anyone could eat what they wanted, and take food home if they needed to. She did this, quietly and consistently, for years.
Â
Her son, Tree, grew up in that salon and watched his mother feed people who needed it — no questions asked. As an adult, he followed her lead and founded Love Only Inc., with the intention of taking what his mother started and growing it.
Â
Today, Love Only provides 600 to 800 high-quality meals every month to anyone who needs one. Our main distribution takes place at the Rosa Parks Bus Station in Detroit, Michigan. The solution is still the same simple one Jennie started with: feed the people.
Â
Some months, larger organizations volunteer and sponsor the effort. Other months, it's a few board members and a few volunteers making it happen. Either way, nothing is ever lacking — because it's all done with Love Only.

Our Initiative in Action
What Showing Up Looks Like
Close to Home
We reach out to neighbors across Detroit who are quietly dealing with food insecurity. No questions, no judgment — just support and a full plate.
A Good Meal
Every month, we prepare hundreds of meals with fresh, quality ingredients — because everyone deserves a good meal, not just an available one.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors
Our volunteers show up, month after month, because that's what community looks like. It takes all of us to make sure no one goes without.
